Services

We recognize that every person's needs, expectations, and goals are unique.  We will work closely with you to determine which combination of services will help you achieve lasting change in your life.  Below are some of the services we offer at Magnolia Center for Counseling and Eating Recovery.

Individual counseling is great for digging deeper and understanding more about yourself, your concerns, and your values.  Your therapist will use evidenced-based practices to work with you to help you map out and solidify your goals while walking side by side with you throughout the process of change. Virtual sessions are available if appropriate for your needs.

Group counseling offers unique possibilities of self-discovery and change through interpersonal interactions.  Engaging in group counseling will allow you the opportunity to connect with others who have similar experiences.  Developing these relationships allows you not only to create lasting bonds but also to help you support and challenge one another throughout your journey.

family counseling

Family counseling is very important and helpful for many people, particularly children and adolescents.  Involving the family in counseling allows for systemic change that can positively affect the entire family.  Family counseling may include personal counseling sessions with a therapist or be in group form with other families who are in similar situations. Specifically, we use Family-Based Treatment or the Maudsley Approach in the treatment of child and adolescent eating disorders as it is one of the most recommended, researched, and effective methods available.

Mindful Movement

Through the practice of yoga, you can acquire the skills of mindfulness, movement, and meditation, while learning to increase awareness of your breath, body, energy, and mind. Your body and mind naturally know what you need to be healthy, so the most important information you need to know about your physical and mental health is already inside you just waiting to be discovered.
